Great for the money

For light backpacking use, this one can't be beat. Lightweight yet gets the job done. I always carry this and like knowing it's in my pack for emergencies.

Small but potent

I had earned enough points from REI on camping gear that I was able to use my points on acquiring a Silky F-180. REI is a great company and I have been very happy with them, but Canadian Preparedness sells a wider range of Silky saws and at a price hard to match. True, the Silky F-180 is very small by comparison to other folding saws, but it can easily cut wood up to about 4 inches (101.6mm). It’s compact size allows one to put it into their pocket with ease. Sure, we would all love to have the Silky Katanaboy 1000 in our arsenal of saws, (I’m looking to purchase the Silky Katanaboy 650mm next), but are you going to carry that with you when you are just out and about in the forest? Even if you plan on purchasing a large saw, I think you will find investing in the Silky F-180 money well spent.
