I bought this flashlight for my partner as an anniversary gift. It’s a great light, but It has a habit of turning on way too easily in the sheath and without him knowing it. He wore it on his gear belt yesterday, in the sheath it came with, to go fishing for the day. He was also wearing a fishing vest and was quite bulked up. After a few hours of fishing he noticed a burn smell and started searching his person, only to find that the flashlight had, in the sheath, turned on to the highest setting and melted right through the top of the sheath. The flashlight itself was probably over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and still burning hot when he brought it home to show me over an hour later. I would post a picture of the sheath if I could. This is a serious manufacturing flaw. Thank goodness my partner has a sense of smell (his father does not) and got to the flashlight before something more serious happened.
